Fedora 20 doesn't boot after installation in a dual bot environment

I installed fedora 20 on a dual boot environment with windows 7.

This was my first time installing Fedora. And now after the installation, fedora doesn't boot,in fact it doesn't come in the boot order. Only windows 7 boots up.

What possibly could i have done wrong or missed?

You did not install the Fedora bootloader to the master boot record. If you did not configure the windows bootloader to add an entry to Fedora there is no way to boot. If you want to put Fedora in the mbr, read the instructions at the fedoraproject page below, Section 2.5.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/GRUB_2?rd=Grub2

If you can't get that to work, post back with more information on the system, standard BIOS, UEFI, number of drives/partitions.

Those are different issues. I would do an online search for each problem specific to Fedora. You could also start a new thread dealing with the specific problems here under 'Fedora' in the Distributions section. If you do that, post some details on what you have done and how it failed, any messages you received when you tried to configure both.

I had one machine that I could not get grub to bual-boot window and linusx on despite trying everything including reinstalling a different distro. Finally gave up trying to get grub to work and downloaded EasyBCD for windows. This is the only machine that ever caused me this problem.

easyBCD is and NEVER was needed
grub2 is just FINE

as to video
fedora will NEVER!!!! ship with NON free patent /royalty encumbered software
as in
NO mp3 support!
no h286 support
NO wmv support
No mp4 support
no avi support
no "store bought" dvd support

you have to install that software IF it is legal in your country .
