Fedora 17 KDE wireless doesn't work

I recently booted Fedora 17 KDE from a live cd. I have installed other Linux distros without problems, but when I boot Fedora I can't make a wireless connection in the live cd environment.

I enter software management and see the the B43 driver firmware is there, but I can't install it as I have with other Linux distros before beginning installation process. I would really like to install this system, but this is preventing it. Help please!

Welcome to the forums, the first step is to figure out which chipset you have:

Code:
lspci
Broadcom makes several different cards, and it's important to know which one you have before proceeding.

Alternately, you can boot with one of the distros that does work, and use:

Code:
lsmod
to list the modules in use to see whether it's b43, wl, brcm80211, etc.

No matter which module you need, you will have to download the firmware (using a temporary wired connection).
