Are you burn the Live CD right?

You can list the files in your Live cd.

I think I've downloaded the wrong live cd....I have a cetrino core 2 duo cpu and not an i386 cpu...

will download x86_64 live cd and report back if this worked.

Wait, not the CPU problem. The i386 Live cd also can run on X86_64 CPU.You can try live-creator to create live cd on your usb flash drives.

Good day

I found the problem. usually when I boot from a cd like windows installation disc i can leave the disk in the cd drive and just press any key to boot from cd. Not so with the fedora live cd.

I have to:
leave the cd rom tray open
press esc for the start up menu
press f9 for boot options
select boot from upgrade bay
close the cd rom tray

Boots perfectly!
