fedora 13 to fedora 15
 
I am new to Linux, been learning it at school for 3 months now. I downloaded fedora 13 to my desktop as my OS and now I want to download the Fedora 15. I tried to down load it, but it went straight to my archives. how do I get from there to update MY OS to Fedora 15?

Download Fedora 15 Live-CD ISO from http://fedoraproject.org/, burn it and enjoy.

Re-install the new version. Don't try to use the update option on the disk, as that's only intended for moving from one version to the next, not for skipping one. Have a look at Fedora 15 first, though. It uses Gnome 3 which is still a bit unfinished and rather different to Gnome2: you might not like it! If you have any problems with Gnome 3,

your best bet going from 13 to 15
( fedora 15 is a VERY VERY DIFFERENT operating system than 13)
is to reformat ( using ext4) and do a 100% clean new install of 15

i recently went from fc-13 -> fc-15:

Congratulations! But Fedora have always advised against 'version jumping', so I think you were lucky.

Did that work ok??? Everytime I tried upgrading with preupgrade, something screwed up, and I had to reinstall from scratch.
