Hi and welcome to LQ.

A better solution would be to upgrade to a supported version of Fedora. Please note:

updates and support. No further updates, including security updates,
will be available for Fedora 13.

Yeah you might as well upgrade. They're up to Fedora 17 now

If you don't want to upgrade your distro very often, I'd change the distribution. Fedora has a very short life cycle and is used mostly by people who want do not mind frequent upgrades and possibly system breakage. If you want to stay in the same family of distros, you can use CentOS.

Wow, I definately overlooked that 1! Had I of realized that it was Fedora 13 I would have suggested an upgrade as well. Is there any particular reason why you haven't upgraded?

that almost sounds like a bot
" how do you TEACH " the operating system?????????

anyway on the old 13 , ntfs-3g was installed BY default
there WAS NO "TEACHING" going on
it "just worked -- out of the box"
