I install fedora 12 as a try with my dell desktop with monitor E152FP I can only chose screen 800x600 and below.
I try to install system-config-display where gave me only two choices of screen resolution 800x600 and 640x480.

It is work fine with XP with screen 1024x768. I did follow some post with xorg.conf but as a newbie I'm not quite understand. any body can help me, pleas.

Welcome to the forums!

First thing, Fedora 12 is old, obsolete, and unsupported. You can download the current Fedora here: http://www.fedoraproject.org

Second, you need to figure out what kind of graphics card you have. Go to the Terminal (look under Applications, System Tools) and type:

Code:
lspci | grep VGA
You may need to install the proper driver for your video card, impossible to say without knowing more about your hardware.

Be more specific (you can copy & paste the terminal output into your reply) and have you tried the current Fedora 15 instead of the obsolete Fedora 12?
