Fedora 12 HP Laserjet 1020 doesn't print
1 Attachment(s)
I've attached troubleshoot.txt
It claims it prints and completes but nothing prints There are 2 disks on this computer - a fedora and a win98se - I dual boot via the bios. The printer works like a champ when windows is booted. Any help would be appreciated. Dick SOLVED This site prompted me to look on google (duh) I did and it referred me to http://tkjacobsen.wordpress.com/2008...-on-fedora-10/ which told me exactly what to do - I did - and it works thanks site Dick :-) Currently I need to move files to the other disk and then boot into windows to print. |
Most HP printers are supported by the hplip project, which your distro is sure to have.

i looked on google and found approx what you were recommending thanks dick |
Thanks for providing instructions. Note HP provides good information through their hplipopensource.com site (http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web...rjet_1020.html) but usually I first check openprinting.org (http://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-LaserJet_1020).
