Just installed FC3 test1 and the best screen res I can get from TNT2 is 800x600. Tried 2 install nvidia driver 6111, this is what the log says: nvidia-installer log file '/var/log/nvidia-installer.log'

If you specified a separate output directory using either the "KBUILD_OUTPUT" or the "O" KBUILD parameter, make sure to specify this directory with the SYSOUT environment variable or with the appropriate nvidia-installer command line option. You may find suggestions on fixing installation problems in the README available on the Linux driver download page at www.nvidia.com. Would appreciate any help. Thanks |
Did I mistakenly post this in the wrong forum?

If you are using a Linux 2.6 and or 2.4 kernel, please make sure
you have configured kernel sources matching your kernel installed on your system. You need the kernel sources for the driver to be built into your kernel,You can find the source for the kernel you are using or compile your own.I think that is right, hope this helps! |
recompile your kernel...
its always better to compile drivers with the same compiler used to compile the kernel. |
TKS to both responses, I will give it a try and let u know!
