FC3 Screen size

FC3 Question
Why would fc3 only boot up with the 640x480 screen size. (FC2 worked fine with my system) It recognised the onboard card (UniChrome) with 64mb shared memory and my Dell monitor? During install I set the monitor type and screen size but it still booted this way. I changed the video setting (to vesa generic which is how fc2 saw it) only when I rebooted the screen went black and would not come up. I sweem to be seeing post about this problem so I know it's not just me. I am a real noob and don't really understand the solutions I have read. I also tried to edit the .conf file before changing the type of card to vesa with no results.

If u mean ur trying to adjust the screen resolution then try

Ctrl+Alt+ (-/+ )

ie the minus or plus signs on the keypad
