Fc3 Mbr

Hello,

I recently had to re-install windows on my second drive. Normally the boot record was over written but my linux partition was not. Im now trying to re-install the boot - grub - MBR from the installation disk but everytime i try i get an error after the mini-installation that no kerniall was installed and no boot records were updated. Is there any other way i could restore my MBR to give me grub and choose between my FC3 and windows without re-installing FC3?

thanks

You need to run the installation cd, when you get to the boot prompt

enter "linux-rescue"
chroot /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda
You will need to know the location of your Fedora root (/) partition because its required just before step 2.
