FC3 Installation

Hi all,

i dowmloaded i386 iso images of fc3 from the below link -


http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...re/2/i386/iso/

Burned cds and tried installing them.

I get this error after placing the 1st CD -

" Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32-bit distribution"

I'm using i386 32-bit iso. I'm not sure if i understand the error correctly. Can anybody pls help me out?

You have actually downloaded FC2 which is way too old.
Fedora is at version 8 right now.

You can get it here : http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora

Post the name of the ISO you have.

My bad, i was using the x86_64 iso.

Had that feeling. Glad you resolved it. I would look into Fedora 8 though.
