FC13 Yum repository error
 

When trying to use yum to install anything I get the following error and I have not seen a good solution for this yet:
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

yum --version
3.2.28
Installed: rpm-4.8.1-2.fc13.i686 at 2010-08-03 22:48
Built : Fedora Project at 2010-06-30 10:41
Committed: Panu Matilainen <pmatilai@redhat.com> at 2010-06-30

Hi there,

From what I remember, you need to replace "metadata" with "metalink" in every repo file /etc/yum.repos.d/*.

By the way, I could be wrong. But try this, otherwise come back.

Well...not exactly progress......
 

So I went to a know good working FC13 machine and copied the repo's from it. Now I get:

Could not retrieve mirrorlist https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/me...a-13&arch=i386 error was
14: PYCURL ERROR 7 - ""
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

do you try to install the repo again,i mean remove them and do a fresh installation

Hi, please make sure that internet is accessible on the PC. Also check by disabling Firewall & SELinux.
