Can anyone point me in the write direction as to how to find the files that define how the Fedora desktop looks? like what menu comes up when you right click the mouse and the make up of that menu. what defines how the taskbar looks and its color and all that?

open up the konsole then type
kcontrol
everything is there for u to play with

if u want to find the file there not one file , a lot, use diffrent file for diffrent progie
