I think I'll start tomorrow. I just gotta buy Arctic Silver 5 for my new CPU before installing anything.

winmx runs incredible under wine. i tried it last night on mandrake 10. if you go to the wine homepage, winmx is listed under their silver list.

I looked around, but couldn't find any silver list(it is winehq.com, right?). Mind giving me a direct link?

But it says WinMX 3.22. The current version is 3.53. Miner, do you mind testing it on your com to see if that works too? If you need a WinMX.exe that has already been unpacked(no installation), just contact me on MSN.

3.53 is what i used on mandrake 10. i just changed my dual boot back to xp and fedora core 2. i will hopefully test out winmx 3.53 on fedora sometime today.

I tested 3.53 in Fedora Core 2. After much aggrivation I was able to get it to download a file to a *real* hard drive. The list box does not work, and nobody tried to upload from me (which could pose problems trying to get files from people with MxM (me!) But it DID download a file.
