Question FATAL ERROR when booting

I use Slackware 10.2 I compiled the 2.6.13 kernel, when booting I get these error messages:

psmouse: version magic '2.6.13 486 gcc-3.3' should be '2.6.13 SMP PENTIUM4 gcc-3.3' FATAL: Error inserting psmouse (/lib/modules/2.6.13/kernel/drivers/input/mouse/psmouse.ko) Invalid module format

almost the same with:

agpport and vfat modules

I noticed that my mouse is not working, and the fat and ntfs partitions could not be mounted

I am asking what did I do wrong when I selected the Kernel modules?

Yes, I used make menuconfig. I have a guess that it is because I enabled i486 support and P4 processor family, but it's not sure. I would be glad if someone proved me wrong but told me the solution.

I need P4 support because I want that Linux uses the processors Hyper-Threading technology

Just select what ever your processer is. For Hyper-Threading that is just below.
