Failed to start Dovecot POP3/IMAP server!

Hi there, i have some problems to start my dovecot server. I tried to install it from webmin using "un-used modules" but it was allways the same error: "E: Unable to locate package dovecot-pop3d".
When I tried to install it from console using the commands: apt-get install dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d dovecot-common - and there are no problems with dovecot-imapd and dovecot-common, but still the same error with dovecot-pop3d.
After command: service dovecot status: could not access PID file for dovecot ... failed!
After try to start dovecot with comand "dovecot": Error: mail_executable: Can't use /usr/lib/dovecot/pop3: No such file or directory
Fatal: Invalid configuration in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf

I've read a few similar threads in this forum about dovecot errors but still can't to fix it.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Checking the applicable logs might help in determining part of the problem, have you done that? You've not mentioned anything to suggest you have, that's usually a great starting point.

Have you checked if the files exist that it says don't, or file permissions for files associated with these? Maybe verify partition mounts and such? /tmp has space and you have permission to write there and such too? Just general ideas...

Sorry I forgot to say that I am using Debian 6.0.1 Interesting that on version 5 it was everything ok and I did not see similar errors..

I checked files, there are no pop3 directory in dovecot.. /tmp - directory has some files and I have permissions here ;/

I just solved it by editing /etc/apt/sources.list file just add a few sources link here.

And one more solution for it just visit here:
http://pkgs.org/package/dovecot-pop3d
http://linuxappfinder.com/package/dovecot-pop3d
