failed to retrieve proprietary driver

I am reinstalling an operating system on an older computer. The system has run well on 8.04 before. However, this time is it as though the normal server is down. Does anyone know a secondary server I can try to get the required updates? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, the server is up but that particular version is not there anymore. Can you try another version? Or eventually download the proprietary legacy driver from the nvidia site and install it (previously checking if the model of your graphic card is supported).
