F17 Splash Screen

I just installed Fedora 17 on a live 64GB USB stick that I use on my lenovo and HP notebooks and my XP desktop. Everything is working just fine - even Flash. But I keep getting this splash screen that asks to install Fedora to the hard drive. I don't want to install F17. I just want this screen to disappear. Where is the switch to turn it off?

Thank you immensely.

Don't know where the switch is, but with 64GB, I'd definitely do a full install to the USB stick. Unless things have changed, the persistence file on a live USB stick can fill up, causing the system to freeze and you to lose all of your data and customizations stored in the persistence file (been there, done that, but haven't totally learned my lesson yet)

Full Install

Doctor,

How do I do a full install. I thought only a live version was allowed. And yes, my persistence file has filled up in the past requiring me to re-install the system. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

To do a live install on a USB flash drive, I put the live image on a small (1GB) flash drive, boot it, plug in the flash drive onto which I want to install Fedora (a 4GB stick; my largest), then click on the install to disk icon on the desktop. When asked which device to install to, I select my large USB stick, and proceed as I would installing to a hard drive.

Excellent! I have a 2GB microSD card that I can use. I'll report back when the full install is working.

Thank you Doc.
