F-prot antivirus not scanning attachments for viruses

Hi I am having a hard time getting it fixed just few days back i INSTALlED f-prot and i it seems to work fine but now when i try to send a mail from my internal network to to my external yahoo id then it doesn't get scanned.

Actually in order to test f-prot i am sendind eicarcom2.zip as an attachment to my yahoo id BUT on checking my yahoo id i am getting the following message.
Virus "EICAR Test String" found.

The file attached to this message was infected with a virus that we were unable to clean. You can not download this attachment.

F-prot is integarteD with mAILsCANNER AND I STOP AND START THE mAILsCANNER TWICE OR THRICE BUT NOTHING SEMS TO WORK FOR ME.

Which "mAILsCANNER" are you using, and what's wrong with your

Cheers,
