Is this the router admin password?

Mac addresses do not ever relate to a password.

The short answer is to reset the router to initial defaults and then modify the configuration to your tastes.
There should be a tiny hole into which you can push a piece of wire (unbent paperclip) for about 10 seconds.

The default user/password will be something "obvious" like admin/password - see documentation for your router.
Obviously you should change this.
