dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/images/abc.img bs=1M count=0 seek=2095103
this works without file large error
but
dd if=/dev/zero of=/var/images/abc.img bs=1M count=0 seek=2095104

this fails saying

dd: truncating at 2196875771904 in output file `/var/images/abc.img': File too large

Now the file system has ext3 and unlimit -a tells me the file size is unlimited

so i agree that the file size must be 2T which is 219902325552 bytes

but the limit terminates at 2196875771904 why so?
the error seems strange also any work around for above ?

Try changing bs to base10 of 1000k and then try a base2 of 1024k and see if that makes a difference.

Also, is there enough room on the drive for the new image?
Are you copying drive to drive?

The space available is 3.9T tried changing the base but no difference
