Are you working on a Windows system, or Linux?? And if you've got the source code for the program, how much more detail do you need??

im working in linux and want to create a virtual file system in windows so that the file system "ext2/ext3" are readable in windows .
yes i got the source code but im new to it so im not able to properly understand the coding of it . the problem with it is that it is only detecting the ext2 with inode number 128 and by default the inode number after the format of pen drive is 256 . So i was trying to change it in source code but found it bit tough so i want to know the proper algo it to make changes in it .
plz send any link where i can get the algo of it .
thanx
