Perhaps you didn't understand what I was asking. I said your internet connection didn't work on Mint when you started that thread, did you find a solution to that ?

Anyway since we are derailing the topic I won't be posting here anything offtopic...

In the interest of keeping things in order and obeying the rules a new thread has been started: see

PS Anisha - I hope you don't mind but I have taken your comment across to the new thread above

No, I didn't get Internet working on Mint: I had to keep using Vista (dual boot) it became a goer after Ubuntu was installed for me. Not because of Mint though - it was just the sequence of events.

For continuation of this topic see:

Then I take this opportunity to thank you for all the useful input you have given to this thread and others. Some decisions are hard, and whilst I am deeply saddened by this decision of yours - I nevertheless respect your right and your judgement to make it. Your input will not be forgotten.

There is no need to be so sad. I am not dead yet I said that I won't be posting here, since, I know nothing about Dodo and other Australian providers. So I don't have anything constructive to say in this or the other thread of yours.

Nice to hear

The "other" thread now has a instructions that worked for using Dodo with UBUNTU

As for taking Thunderbird emails back to Windows there are some good suggestions in this thread. I'm inclined to mark both as solved but stay subscribed in case anyone has trouble with the answers thus far.
