Explain this error with PROT"


Hello,

I am trying to upload file on FTPS server via lftp command and getting following error

put: Access failed: 550 PROT P required (test.txt)

ca someone explain??

Sure...you didn't issue the "PROT P" directive upon logging in. You can either script it, do it manually, or change the settings on the FTPS server.

There are two settings that change the encryption after authentication:
--ftp-ssl-control will use encryption on the control channel but not the data channel.
--ftp-ssl-ccc will turn off encryption on bot control and data channels after authentication.
