Question Expanding root partition?

I'II try to keep this simple but I'm out of space on my / partition and I was wondering if it is at all possible to expand it by shrinking my /home partition then adding it to the root partition so I can use my apache dir without changing to to another.

Also I have a problem using k3b to backup my data, is this because of the root partition problem I'm having?
