exiting x-server


hi all!

im new to linux, and im installing nvidia drivers for my card, but it sez that the x server is running and that i need to shut it down b4 continuing, i am unsure how to do this, your help is greatly apreciated,

i found the answer by takin time to look at the linux site if any one else has these problems, check out this link, where the info is :
