exit(communication error), terminated by calling exit(), return code: 255

Hi,

CentOS 5.8 Web server Installed with Webmin/Virtualmin

I have knowledgetree community edition application running on this this web server. So when I tried to do some php functions e.g. moving some files/folders from one folder to another folder, I am getting following errors.

Its tries to run the that perticular function 15 seconds and giving me

500 Internal Server Error

When I check the /var/logs/http/error_log

[notice] mod_fcgid: call /home/domain_name/public_html/browse.php with wrapper /home/domain_name/fcgi-bin/php5.fcgi
[notice] mod_fcgid: process /home/domain_name/public_html/browse.php(31795) exit(communication error), terminated by calling exit(), return code: 255

/var/logs/http/suexec_log

uid: (509/domainname) gid: (509/509) cmd: php5.fcgi

When I look at the application I can see the half of the function has executed. E.G. Few files has been moved to the intended location but not everything.

I just cant figure it out where is the issue! I think its not an application issue.

Could some one tell me how to diagnose this issue?

Kind Regards

How and where are you moving files to another folder? If there's any script, please share it's snippet.

The info you provided ain't adequate to help you out.
There's should be at least some code or script or part of code, which we can check, so just share it.

Thanks, but this is nothing to do with the applications isnt it? Because I was running this application on a different server for years & never had problems. After OS crash I built this server last week. So Its looks some sort of setup of the server is not right but I am not sure how to diagnose this.

Set LogLevel to debug and check again?

There's nothing that references /home/domain_name/public_html/browse.php, there's nothing that exit()s with return code 255 and this isn't what I asked for.

Yes the LogLevel is debug.

httpd error log:
[notice] mod_fcgid: process /home/domainame/public_html/presentation/lookAndFeel/knowledgeTree/documentmanagement/getTypeMetadataFields.php(5189) exit(communication error), terminated by calling exit(), return code: 255

suexec.log

Thanks

Hmm. Since you are moving files and directories from one directory to another I'd start by ensuring file and directory ownership matches the user and group suexec is being told to use.
