Exim mail configuration in Debian

Hello everyone !

I hope someone can help me with this stupid question !

I installed Debian Linux for Apache, Php, Mysql and File services. In some of the php websites I need to use the sendmail function.

Debian works not with sendmail but with exim, which should do the trick. I'm having troubles with configuring exim though...

I don't need to receive mails with the server, just send them with my ISP's smtp server. It doesn't seem to work. In stead of sending the mail, I recieve an email with an error in /var/mail/username.

Can someone tell me what the right answers are for the mail configuration when I do a "base-config" ? First of all it asks some kind of a mode, from 1-5.
