executing .bin files (mandrake9.2)?

hi

i'm trying to install intellij idea by executing the idea-xxx.bin file under X as the instructions stated, and also from terminal. Under X clicking the icon wont do anything and from terminal ('./idea-xxx.bin', and yes, 'chmod a+rx xxx.bin' done)it gives

"Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit. (LAX"

i wasnt so concerned yet at this point but i wrote here when trying to do the same thing when installing JBuilder, it didnt give the same errors but didnt work either.

Could the problem be somewhere deeper with those .bin files or scripts overall..?

im using Mandrake9.2 and KDE with XP dualboot.

Thanks

It looks like a java error - try upgrading to the most recent version.
