excutings files

dears
I'm working on asterisk.
i have followed this guide and it works fine
http://www.asterisk.org/sites/asteri...tart_guide.pdf .

the problem is that when I tried to excute a program using ./zoiper
it shows me that :

root@ubuntu:/usr/src# ./zoiper
bash: ./zoiper: No such file or directory

even though it shows me there is a file named "zoiper" in the directory
am working in!

with command ls -l it shows me

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 15048176 Mar 27 2012 zoiper

what do you think is the problem here?

thanks in advance.

It is possible that it is a poorly phrased error message from the application. It would be necessary for the application to start another shell script which then hits the error.

Can't tell without actually looking into the source.

Quote:
root@ubuntu:/usr/src# ./zoiper
First : Zoiper is not to be run as root. For safety reasons.
Please only use as unprivileged user : $ ./zoiper

The zoiper you can download for Linux is 32bits (i686).
http://www.zoiper.com/download_inter...2_linux_tar_gz
> http://www.zoiper.com/downloads/free...9-linux.tar.gz
> zoiper219-linux.tar.gz : Is one propitiatory executable file. 14MB.

The file command will show whether the file you have got is usable:
$ file zoiper <Enter>
