I just installed OpenSuse 11.1 and runnig KDE 4.1.3. Our mailserver here is exchange and i understand KMail does not support Exchage server so i downloaded Evolution. It came as something like evolution-2.28.1.tar.bz2. In the terminal i ran the command tar xjf evolution-2.28.1.tar.bz2 which "unzipped" the contents of the .tar.bz2 file into a folder . That is where i am currently stuck!!! How do I install evolution and make it work? Or is there any way of connecting KMail to our Exchange Server? Any help will be highly appreciated.
Why have you downloaded a tarball? Wouldn't it have been easier to install via Yast, that way Evolution should install with no trouble at all. Are you familiar with Yast, or are you very much a 'newbie'?
