LXDE. It will save more resources.

I don't bother with KDE or GNOME on older or low spec hardware, they are too much of a resource hogs on those systems.
LXDE is what I switched my Netbook to. Gnome ran OK on it, but the memory usage dropped about 100 MB by switching from gnome to LXDE..
