Evolve my idea of learning UNIX on a macbook.
Hey,
I'm an IT-student trying to figure out the best way of learning UNIX/Linux. Currently I'm running MacOSX on my intel macbook. I know I've got the underlying Darwing, and a terminal to work with but I'm having some troubles organizing a way of learning. One day I'd like to build a LFS-system but realize I'm not quite there yet. Anyone got any tips on how to get to the point when I will know enough to actually get anything out of the LFS handbook? Will I have to dual boot another *NIX or are there anyway to hit walls with this already stable, well built system I'm in now? I'm imagining I'll learn a whole lot more when running in to problems... Any help is greatly appreciated. /J |
