Evolution new mail notification sound doesn't work in my Ubuntu 9.04
 
Hi to all. Evolution doesn't play the notification beep when a new mail arrives. in the "Plug in Manager" Mail Notification, the "Play sound when New messages arrive", Button Beep is properly checked.
it actually did work previously, but not any longer. if it is a well known bug, and there is no way to fix it, please sugest a plugin for [firefox]or something similar to do the job.

What happens if you choose:
"play sound file" ?
Perhaps beep is disabled on your system?

i have also tried that, but unfortunately the same disappointment.
