evolution-mailbox


I am trying to send an email using evolution and it display this message.
" ERROR WHILE SENDING
RCPT TO RESPONSE ERROR: REQUESTED ACTION NOT TAKEN: MAILBOX NAME NOT ALLOWED"
I setup the mailbox properly I suppose.
please help

I have no idea what the error means, but you might try changing the name of your mailbox if you currently have one with spaces in the name. I know that can throw off some functions in Linux.

Also check out the knowledge base at Ximian. There might be some info regarding this problem. If not, you can send in a bug report.

athenerx, are you running Ximian? or just Evolution with Gnome? I had a problem with creating mail in Evolution...html reader not configured or found....I ran the RedCarpet (part of Ximian) update and problem was solved...just a thought..

When you set evolution up, did you say yes to any option that would send a 'receipt request' to the other party? If the server doesn't allow them, you may want to go into evolutions config section and find where that is and make sure it's turned off. Just my first impression...Please let me know if I was wrong.
