/etc/grub.conf again
Here's my /etc/grub.conf file:
When I power up hdb is loaded. # grub.conf generated by anaconda # # Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file # NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that # all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg. # root (hd0,0) # kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hda2 # initrd /initrd-version.img #boot=/dev/hda default=0 timeout=10 splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz title Red Hat Linux (2.4.18-14) root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.18-14 ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi initrd /initrd-2.4.18-14.img There is no mention of hdb and my bios is set to fdo, cdrom, hdo I'm a little disapointed because I thought I had this grub thing figured out. |
i might be misinterpreting something, but what is your actual problem ?
|
When I power up the OS on drive hdb is the one that is loaded. Why is it not drive the OS on hda?
|
this is not what your config is saying, please provide more detail on what you did to install it.. is it possibly not just a bios setting?
