when i try to open up an mp3 file with my player i get this error on occasion.

Totem could not play '(.mp3 file name)'.
Reason: This is an audio-only file, and there is no audio output available.
then one time it told me to run 'esd' at command line so i did and i got this error

/dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
what do these mean?
This only seems to happen after my computer has gone to "sleep" other than that it usually works. What can i do to fix this?
