Error with burning media.
 
Hi, just a quick question about CD-ROM: what does it when the PMA (Program Memory Area) could not be updated? Is it because of a faulty CD-RW or something else?

Hi, I was trying to burn Archlinux 0.7.1 ISO to CD-ROM with Nero and CDBurnerXP Pro3, that is why I did not mention the details since it is not really *nix related.
The error message I got from XPBurnerXP was :" the PMA of the disc cannot be updated." ; whereas the message from Nero 6 was :" No seek complete." Someone suggested that the CD-ROM in use was not rated for the recording speed that I was attempting. Well, it was writing at the speed of 2x which is definitely rated, correct? Also, there was another suggestion that the CD-ROM was not compatible with the burner, I should try another disc from a different brand. That cannot be achieved at this moment, but I would certainly give it a try.
