IIRC, RedHat doesn't install the C++ libraries by default.
More than likely the libs that RealPlayer needs are not installed.

FC does use RPM's for package management. Lots of info on how to use it available.
http://www.redhat.com/docs/books/ would be a good place to start reading, first listing is about RPM's.
