Error while loading shared libraries libifport.so.5
Hi,
When I execute a .out file, an error "error while loading shared libraries: libifport.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" always appears? Could anyone tell me how to deal with this problem?

Hi...
What distribution and version of Linux are you running?
Thank you. This error means that you either do not have this library file installed on your system or your .out files cannot see or access the library.
Do you have the Intel Fortran Compiler installed? From what I see here, the library in question (that your .out files need) is available in this program.
If not, it appears you will need to purchase and download this program from Intel, which is part of Parallel Studio XE. However, you can try it out for free for 30 days. Please see here. I'm not seeing the library (libifport.so.5) available for download by itself, which could mean that that the library itself is not under the GPL.
If anyone knows more about this library or how to obtain a copy legally (and I'm not sure it can be separated from the compiler legally,) please feel free to post.
Regards...
