error when trying to run airodump " (i0ctlsiocgifindex) failed no such device


Hello,

I just installed bt4 on vmware....internet is up and running and when i try to run airodump i get the error stated above. I installed ndis wrapper hoping it would resolve my issue but it did not fix it. Please help

I apologize to the community.... I am currently a student in the network security field and am trying to learn back track linux. I sincerely did not mean any harm.

Back track has their own forums out there on the internet just so you know... Not trying to be mean at all about it, but please post in the backtrack forums, located at http://www.backtrack-linux.org/forums/forum.php
