Error using up2date in a new server
Hi. I'm installing a new server RedHat Enterprise version 4 update 6.....during the process I have to do a up2date when I run it this is the error I'm recieving:
error: rpmts_HdrFromFdno: MD5 digest: BAD Expected(921121f544efea36f7b183117bd13682) != (70aff544bc5582e50674fc3ca6839f07) and the up2date process stay on that point and go through.... Thanks, |
These are bad md5sums being provided for the packages. Is this occuring on any other system you may have that can run up2date from?
Also do you have anything in /var/spool/up2date ? If so, try wiping the contents of that directory out and run up2date again. |
Thanks......I'm trying it now....
