ERROR "out_of_memory+0x8e/0x2f5


Kindly suggest me an idea, why this problem occurred.

*****Pls find the below problem analysis******
at the reboot i can able ping but didnt get the shell access, after 5mins i get the shell access, look for the analysis done.

What is the point of that free -m output? It would be helpful if it was captured right after the OOM killer ran. (It would be even more helpful right before the OOM killer ran, but that is usually an unreasonable request). I assume the free -m was run several days after the OOM killer, so it tells us nothing about the system state when the OOM killer ran. (It does at least tell use you have 16GB of ram plus 2GB of swap).

So we can guess process 8492 (httpd) had a memory leak and was the whole memory problem by itself. But that is not a well supported guess.

Hi john this is praveen again, thanks for your respose.
Let me know whether there is an possible way to findout the exact file which created a problem. what are immediate procedure to be taken care of to handle the situation Out of Memory.
