error on whit my packege manager


"i was trying to install lime wire the computer shutdown by accident and the in try to open my (s.p.manager) and i got this message E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report."
can some budy tell me what to do

open a terminal, become root, run dpkg --configure -a

It depends on what Linux distribution you are using.
If you are using Ubuntu then you should be able to install it through the synaptic package manager.

Exclamation question

hey Tuttle dude im trying toi install a new lock scrren them i alredy downloaded but on webpage is telling me to unpack the file how to i do that. check it out -----------
1. Unpack 1 folder 2 files to /usr/share/gnome-screehackver/
* ( directory hack-images lock-dialog-hack.glade lock-dialog-hack.gtkrc

Just open Synaptic(System>Administation>Synaptic) and search for it and then install it, its the easy way
