Hello Group I am using ubuntu 12.04 in my laptop. I am facing a problem.i can not detect any wirless divice or wireless net.any body can help to trobule shoot this error.

Are you using a usb network adaptor, or one built in?
The first step is to identify your hardware. With that knowledge, we can identify the kernel module used. The wireless kernel modules often need firmware installed before they work.

Run:
/sbin/lspci -v | sed -n '/Wireless/,/^$/p'

and
/sbin/lspci -n

and
lsusb

Post the results.

I used both the command in su mode. still wireless is not activating. but in my laptop with windows wireless is working normal.

As long you are NOT answering to questions from people here, you will not solve your issue.
So, please put the command "lsusb" in a TERMINAL (and other commands according the requests here) and include the output in a post here.
Sometime, I do
a) open a terminal
b) command "lsusb > lsusb.txt"
c) edit the file lsusb.txt with a texteditor ("leafpad" is a good choice)
d) copy the content of lsusb.txt and include it in a post here.
YOU can certainly do the same.

Posting the outputs of these commands will help these members to help you.
You may need things to aid your system; perhaps a driver. If you don't post they won't know.

When my wireless connection was not working I posted the output of all of the commands the members requested of me.
Now my system is online and my connection is at 100%.

You should seriously consider complying to what they have asked you to do.

RUN:

And RUN:
/sbin/lspci -n

Post the outputs; please-

In terminal window i run both the commands but no result. laptop behaves same as before. not able to connect the wireless network or any wireless device.

^ sigh, paste this into a terminal window:then highlight the result, rite-clik->copy, then paste it into your next response to us. that way we can determine the card model and manufacturer and someone could let you know what driver to use if one exists.

These are NOT commands in order to make your card working.
This is for making a DIAGNOSIS.
With the commands output appearing at a screen (and posted here), some intelligent and ACTIV people, spending their time in order to HELP others, will perhaps understand what is going on in YOUR laptop.
So, in a TERMINAL, makes,

lspci -v | sed -n '/Wireless/,/^$/p' > diagnosisfile.txt
lspci -n >> diagnosisfile.txt
edit diagnosisfile.txt with the editor leafpad
Copy the content of diagnosisfile.txt and post it here.

lspci-

is for displaying information about all PCI buses in the system and all devices connected to them.
Useful for when you want to diagnose problems or when you want to report bugs related to PCI devices.
