error in running a program

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if my problem relates to this part but I think I need a programmer to find the meaning of this error while running Coherens software on my linux fedora 15.
Coherens is an oceanographic modelling software. you can find more information at: http://www2.mumm.ac.be/coherens/
I try to run one of the test cases (names river) and after compiling with gfortran when I type ./Run it shows this error that I don't undrestand:

[fedora@localhost work]$ ls -al river*
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 4434 Mar 3 21:51 river0T.cifmodA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1858 Mar 3 21:51 river0T.inilogA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 76 Mar 3 21:51 river0T.timingA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 258 Mar 3 21:51 river0T.warlogA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 203 Mar 3 21:51 river1T.errlogA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1085 Mar 3 21:51 river1T.inilogA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 126 Mar 3 21:51 river1T.warlogA
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1875 Mar 3 21:51 riverT.2uvobc1U
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1590 Mar 3 21:51 riverT.modgrdU
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root 121960 Mar 3 21:51 riverT.phsicsU
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 292 Mar 3 20:35 river.txt

[fedora@localhost work]$ more river1T.errlogA
Unable to read real array
File:
riverT.phsicsU
Read error occurred on file unit 8
A total of 1 errors occurred in read_vars_real_2d
Error type 3 : Read error
PROGRAM TERMINATED ABNORMALLY

p.s. I can't open riverT.phsicsU file as it is a machine file.

I'm really thankful if anyone help me in that.

The first thought is that there is a mismatch between the declaration of the array and the data in the input file you are trying to read. Perhaps the array is declared Integer but the data is real? Or perhaps the input array is empty? Or perhaps the array declaration is OK but the data is not numerical input, just a bunch of characters? You should check various options.

Thank you AlexBB,
but would you please make your points more clear? I'm not professional. so please just let me know step by step if that's possible. Thanks again for your help.

Oh gush! I wish I could help you but I am not sure if you cannot read the Fortran code. You have to get hold of the source code for the application, find the place where the application reads the input information, the array(s) in question, and see how they declared the array(s). Maybe there is a shorter way. Have you read the instruction carefully? Perhaps the manufacturer or those who wrote the program specified carefully how the input array(s) must be structured. In Fortran as far as I remember from years ago even minor deviation from the way you structure the input data will break the ability of the program to place the values into the internal array(s). Who entered the data into the file with input array? I mean your river profiles or something like this? You did? Perhaps you made a mistake?

I wish I could be more specific. If something comes to mind I will report here but now I have nothing beyond that. Thanks, - AlexBB
