Is "nam" a program you have to run as root?
Is nam a misspelling for "name"?
Which package did you use to install nam?

Please use a binary 'nam'.

Post # 4 here
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...04-a-842109/#4

cd nam-1.14**/ && sudo cp nam /usr/local/bin/

And : Do not run any ns2 command as root. Not required. Not safe.
