Error in Installing GUEST OS in VMware
 
hi group. . . i have this problem. . every time i POWER ON the newly created VM, (with the CD already inserted, of the distro i want to install) this message appears :


Unable to Change Virtual machine power state. The process exited with an error. End of error message.



settings : /dev/cdrom as my CDROm drive..
permissions is owned by "me" including the default install directory including the vmware scripts FOUND in /usr/bin

options. .. i mean i did not have the time to partition first my virtual disk size which is 200G. BTW i have not installed it yet.. the distro is VL 5.8 SOHO

You need to load vmmon module.
