/etc/grub/grub.conf
did you actually go and LOOK to see if that file is there ????

What version of Oracles clone of RedHat are you using ?

edit /boot/grub/grub.conf for rhel6 and rhel5

mind you any error you see about kdump is a bug
the error is meaningless and HARMLESS
