Lightbulb Error during kickstart installation

Hello
I tryed to install RHES 6.2 using kikcstart file. So, think that installation would be fully autumated, but I got an error message:
"Unable to read package metadata. This may be due to a missing repodata directory. Please ensure that your install tree has beed correctly generated.

Cannon retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: Red Hat Enterprice Linux. Please verify it's path and try again"

So, I press "Edit" button, and just after this press "Ok" button, without changing anything in editbox, that contain "". After this installation continues and finished successfully.

I use vmware hypesvisor ESXi5 and installation image file (iso)

Is any suggestion there is the problem? May be it is needed to take a look to anakonda's log?

Hi,

That error is something you might get when you're trying to install stuff when there's no repository data available. Did you generate that ISO yourself? Or is it the 'stock' ISO for RHEL? If you generated it yourself and are installing things from a directory you've added, then you'll need to generate the repodata structure. This is a directory that holds some xml and compressed xml files indicating what's in your repo. You generate the repodata with the createrepo command. Have a look at the man page.

Another thing, what's in your kickstart file? And are you generating any logs when installing using kickstart? If so, is there anything suspicious in them?

Kind regards,

Eric
